South Korea Seeks To Restrict Synthetic Nicotine E-cigarettes

According to the Korea Times, South Korea is working to limit the use of synthetic nicotine e-cigarettes. Earlier, British American Tobacco Group (BAT) announced the launch of synthetic nicotine atomized e-cigarette "Nomad Sync 5000" in South Korea.
Current South Korean law defines tobacco products as those made from the leaves of tobacco plants. This is seen by many companies as an opportunity to introduce synthetic nicotine e-cigarettes to avoid taxes and other fees.
In recent months, South Korean lawmakers have introduced more than a dozen bills to amend current tobacco laws in an effort to close the loophole. The latest bill, introduced by lawmakers on Nov. 26, seeks to redefine tobacco products and seeks to include e-cigarettes, which use synthetic nicotine.
